Learn Together, Grow Together

At Oceanlight, we believe learning is even more meaningful when families participate together. Adult volunteers are an active part of the Point Reyes experience, helping to create a safe, engaging, and memorable adventure for every camper.

Adult volunteer spots are limited.
All volunteers must apply and be approved to attend.

We aim for an adult-to-child ratio of approximately 1:3, and placements will be confirmed by Monday, August 31, 2026.

If selected, volunteers must:

Pay the Adult Program Cost to cover lodging and meals

Complete Live Scan fingerprinting as well as California Mandated Reporter Training (approximately $115) by September 15, 2026

Attend two mandatory zoom training and planning sessions on

September 25, 2026 at 7:30pm
October 14, 2026 at 7:30pm

Volunteer Application Opens 8/9/26 | 7pm

Scholarships

We don't want the cost of camp to be a barrier for students. We warmly encourage families who need financial assistance to apply for a scholarship.

  • Scholarships are need-based and available in limited quantities

  • You may apply for a scholarship by filling out a scholarship application on the camp registration form.

  • Awards may vary depending on availability and need but are typically around $150-200.

  • You will hear back about your scholarship award within a week and be provided with more instructions about how to register for camp.

We encourage families who may benefit from support to apply before Aug 25, 2026.
